Shadow of the Colossus.
Shadow of the colossus is a game was made for play station 2 and introduce to the market by Sony Computer entertainment. This is developed by Japan and this is like a puzzle game. It doesn’t have lot of enemy except 13 men that called Colossus and the game’s hero will to save the girl by killing each colossus. The game was developed with strange action and no town or background on the game.
Discussion Journal #3: College Success 3
There are two important things off campus help me to be successful in college. The first and most important thing is public libraries. I have one of them really close to my house, and I can use their facilities. I have classes in college every morning, after that I go home for lunch and I walk to this library to study. They have useful facilities over there such as computers and helpful books. I usually choose the seat in the place and start to work on my home work. I use their computers to type my assignments and send them to my own computer at home and it usually takes 2 to 3 hours, but after that I have my own time to spend. Most of the time I look in the fiction department to find the attractive book to study, or look on DVD’s section to find a good movie to watch, I regularly choose movies and books from English section to improve my English. Another big help off campus is my husband; he is ready to lend a hand all the time. He helps me to learn more. He has a French class in College too and most of the time we try to study together and help each other. In the weekends we try to find the interesting programs in museums around the phoenix to learn more and by doing that we develop our knowledge out of college. So I keep my self energetic all the time to be more successful out of school and in my personal life.
Journal #9 Mesa soldier, 19, dies in Iraq from sniper fire
I don't know why any time I read something about war my heart start burning. People kill each other for nothing same as this boy who just turned 19 such a small kids. Is he deserved to die. They just arrived to Iraq 2 week ago and now he is not in this world any more. I admire warrior that they fight for their country but can't we just have peace and nobody get killed.
Disscussion Journal#2 What are some things that YOU can do to help you be successful in college? Focus on your behaviors and your attitude.
There are lots of different things in college that they can be helpful for me such as writing on my blogger, doing my home work on time and read small stories. I believe the key to be more successful in college is practice and by knowing that I should try to practice in my writing and reading in different ways.
Journal# 8 How’s it going so far in this course? Write about what you’ve liked and disliked so far.
Unfortunately I had had a surgery in the first week of semester. Although I missed the big part of the class and went behind for first month I have tried to catch up with the class. In my opinion class is really helpful and I like subject’s line. My only concern is I know my drafts – in my journal - have some errors but how can I distinguish and correct them. Is Ms.Copper will be give us a feed back about our writing?
Journal#7 Something I noticed about myself today?
As soon as I woke up this morning I found out I had so many projects to do which I had left for my husband to work on. Some of these projects were canceling my previous insurance, buying new insurance for my car, buying insurance for my new puppy, calling my mom, laundry and meeting with home security company. At the time I thought I could not finish any of them by the end of the day but I tried to make them fun for myself and learn from each project. So, time was flying fast and I couldn’t even realize that I was working on some boring projects. So, I noticed that I can work better if I don’t look at them as a duty.
Journal#6 Britney, head shaved, gets new tattoo
Celebrities try to catch the public attention by doing unusual things. They shave their heads, get naked in the public and get strange tattoos. After reading this article some questions came to my mind. What percentages of readers really care about this kind of headlines? Why writers try to sell such a cheap article? Does Britney Spears bold head make any difference in people lives? Is it more important than other news such as war, poverty, crimes and serious issues that we hear everyday? Well, this article was on the first page of the AZ Central with big letters that captured my attention before any other news. I totally understand that some people prefer to read fun articles more than sad ones but as a writer aren’t they responsible to increase readers’ knowledge and write about something more important and meaningful?
Disscoussion Journal#1 What are some things on campus that can help you be successful in college?
Library is the best place to achieve more success in college. It is the quite place for study with the variety of books especially for foreign students how have a plan to practice in English. Students can use the computers to do their homework or find the new friend to communicate. If students need extra help, librarian are there to help them.
Journal #5 About Painting
Painting is the practice of applying paint on the surface such as paper, canvas, glass and wood. People use their creativity to combine drawing and composition. There are different kinds of painting such as realism, abstract, surrealism etc. Each painter has a special style to create their painting. Every point in space has different intensity, means painter draw span between black and white with shades of gray to show the objects.
Journal #4 Would you like to be famous? Why or why not? What would you like to be famous for?
Yes, I really want to be famous but not like an actress or model. I don’t want people to recognize me from my face or money. I want them to know me as a professional architect or a well-known designer. If I become famous in my industry people will admire me because of my work. I should remember that there are lots of unpleasant things behind being famous. Magazines reveal my personal life and share with people and they will follow all details of my life. Paparazzi will come to my personal life and take pictures from me and my family and I can not run a way from them. People will come to me everywhere to get the autograph even in grocery store. So, being famous is pricy and you can not have privacy for ever.
Jurnal #3 Write about a time someone dared you to do something.
It was almost five years ago that I decided to leave my family and friends behind and come to the new country by myself. My father was the first person to dared me to go forward and take this big step with out doubt. My goal was to continue my education and get a better job but with out any English background it was impossible. He was talking to my every day and supported me whenever I needed.
Journal #2 What are your strongest communication skills? What other skills or talents do you have?
I think the important thing to communicate with people is being comfortable with them. As far as I know about myself, I am an easygoing person and I am getting close to people faster than I should. When I start talking to people, I can find the topic to talk and share very fast. Although being an easygoing is not good most of the time. I think trusting people whom we do not know them very well is risky too because they can use our trust and we have to pay the price. This happened to me more than one hundred times but I still fallow my own method to finding friends.
